Issie Hart (Actor/Soprano) is an award winning artist of international esteem. Hart's work has been described as ‘Delightful’ Richard Watts, Smart Arts, RRR, ‘The Rarest of things, Musical Theatre that mattered’ Arts Hub and ‘Radical, transgressive chic’ The Guardian, UK. Isabel has worked in theatre, opera, independent film, community radio and television.
Hart’s work, Death By Soprano, developed with the collaborations of Derek Ives, Don Bridges and
Jo Abbott has successfully toured Victoria with the support of Regional Arts Victoria and enjoyed sell-out seasons at Perth Fringeworld, Adelaide Fringe, The Butterfly Club, La Mama Theatre and The Melba Spiegeltent at Circus Oz. Death By Soprano is preparing for a national tour in 2017.
Hart's Aerial Soprano performances with Opera in the Air have taken her to extraordinary locations including rooftops, cliff edges, grain silos and mountains.
Hart's latest work A Nightingale Affair is currently in development with preview performances to be announced later in the year.
Hart's cabaret work, La Petite Mort has enjoyed two successful Edinburgh Fringe seasons and several seasons across Australia in Melbourne, Adelaide and launched the Tasmanian Theatre Company's Associate Artist Program in Hobart. Issie Hart Holds a BA in Acting, an AMusA diploma in classical singing, and trained at the Lisa Gasteen National Opera School and has won several prestigious awards for her singing. Issie also attended IUGTE where she trained in Russian Physical Theatre with Sergei Ostrenko as part of the International Performers Village.
